Terms.

Last updated · 24 July 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Tonearm. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Tonearm. These terms are governed by Brazilian law, including the Marco Civil da Internet (Law No. 12.965/2014).

Your account

You need an account to log albums, write reviews, and follow people. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Provide accurate information, and let us know at gabrielsgs2007@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be old enough under your local law to enter into this agreement.

Your content

Reviews, ratings, lists, and other content you create are yours. By posting content publicly on Tonearm, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that may briefly remain in backups.

You are responsible for what you post. Do not post content you do not have the right to share, and do not rely on Tonearm as the only copy of anything you care about.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post unlawful, hateful, harassing, or infringing content.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data.
  • Use Tonearm to distribute spam, malware, or automated abuse.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, and we may act on reports sent to gabrielsgs2007@gmail.com.

Catalog and intellectual property

Album and artist metadata, cover art, and artist images come from third-party catalog providers and remain the property of their respective rightsholders. Tonearm is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by those providers. The Tonearm name, interface, and original design are ours. See Data sources for attribution and takedown contact.

Subscriptions

Tonearm may offer a paid subscription. If you subscribe, billing is handled by Stripe and the price and billing cycle are shown before you confirm. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refundable.

Service “as is”

Tonearm is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that catalog data will always be complete or correct.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Tonearm is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory Brazilian consumer or data-protection law.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the law. On termination, your right to use the service ends and your content is removed as described in the Privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the product changes; we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you where appropriate. These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and disputes are subject to the courts of Brazil, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
